That makes two down on the DL, since Urban is already gone for the season. So much for the talk about the Ravens promising young defensive line this season. Starting to look like Cody will be a lock to make the team.
There is something to be said for Billick's approach of limiting full contact scrimmages, particularly in the preseason. Doesn't do the team much good if a bunch of people you thought would be on the field for you in the regular season are on crutches instead.
I`m sure quinolones aren`t the only medicinal compounds out there that have side effects that are unintended....or even realized yet in the medical community......they say these compounds can cause problems months after the course is finished...
Not that either of these injured guys were ahead of DeAngelo Tyson, but he (Tyson) is going to see more snaps this year. I also believe that Ozzie and Kokinis are keeping a close watch for five tech guys that are in a numbers game with other franchises. I'd love to have a veteran guy on this team now, a Corey Redding type. An Art Jones type, Brett Keisel?
I went back and watched the preseason game. Watching the defensive line play during the 3rd quarter, I kept noticing number 95 pushing the line of scrimmage and making plays. So, I went and took a look at the roster to see which guy was 95. Of course, it was Kapron Lewis-Moore. He really looked good to me and this is just a shame.
You like to enter the season healthy as can be. It's a good bet there will be some injuries over a 16 game season. You just have to hope the injuries are not serious, or are at positions with some depth. Haven't heard Jackson's status yet. But DB and OT seem to be the thinnest part of the roster, not to mention QB (knock on wood).
Of all the positions at which the Ravens might suffer multiple injuries, this was the one. Ngata, Williams, Canty, Tyson, Jernigan, Cody, McPhee is still a solid group.
My question is with McPhee...so we moved him to OLB last year which i always thought was a curious move...he is still listed there...I know we always kick him down to the D-line in sub packages so these 'labels' really dont matter, but I think we need to scrap working him out as a OLB in our base package and get him back to being a more prominant part of the defensive line rotation
