| Biography: |
| The Ravens drafted Chris Redman as their quarterback of the future in the 2000 draft. Redman only saw the field two times as a rookie, and in his second year his only action was at the end of the Ravens playoff victory over the Dolphins during which he did nothing but take a knee. With the release of Elvis Grbac, though, Redman entered the 2002 season as the starter for the Ravens. Redman doesn't possess a very strong arm, nor is he very mobile, but he does appear to take care of the ball very well, throwing just three interceptions in his first 182 attempts. Unfortunately those 182 attempts might be all Redman gets in the 2002 season as he has a herniated disc in his back and could very well miss the rest of the season. Even if he does return, there's no gurantee he'll be the starter as coach Brian Billick has indicated that veteran Jeff Blake could remain the starter. The Ravens drafted Redman in the third round of the 2000 draft. Redman attended Louisville, where as a senior, he won the Johnny Unitas award as the best senior quarterback in the country.
