Biography:
2005: Selected by the Bears fourth overall. Is expected to challenge for starting running back job as a rookie.

College: Led Texas in rushing the past four years. Finished his career as the 6th-leading rusher in NCAA Division I-A history and the 2nd-leading rusher in Longhorn history. In 49 games, rushed for 5,540 yards on 1,112 carries with 64 TDs... Was just the 5th back in NCAA history to rush for over 1,000 yards in each of his 4 seasons and his 64 TDs were the 3rd-most in NCAA history. Also set an NCAA record by scoring at least once in 37 games... Led Texas to a 25-0 record when rushing for over 100 yards& Also caught 69 passes for 621 yards and 3 TDs& Finished his career ranked 2nd in school history with 6,161 all-purpose yards and 2nd with 404 career points, the 4th-most points by a non-kicker in NCAA history. One of 3 players in NCAA history to rush for 5,000 yards and score 400 points in a career... Produced a first down on 262 of his 1,112 career carries (23.6 percent) and gained 3,108 of his 5,540 career rushing yards (56.1 percent) after contact. Only 84 of his 1,112 career carries resulted in lost yardage, once every 13.2 carries& Majored in social work.

Senior: 2004 Doak Walker Award winner and a unanimous all-conference choice after posting 326/1,834/19 on the ground and adding 22/179/1 as a pass catcher. Started every game and was a semifinalist for the Maxwell Award while receiving first-team All-America honors from ESPN and Sports Illustrated. Unanimous firstteam All-Big 12 selection and named conference Co-Offensive Player of the Year by the Austin- American Statesman.

JUNIOR: First-team All-Big 12 honoree after becoming the first player in school history to rush for over 1,000 yards in three consecutive seasons, totaling 1,360 yards on 258 carries and 21 TDs (No. 4 on Texas single-season list)& Earned a spot on Texas' Athletic Director's Academic Honor Roll, was named the team's outstanding offensive back and received the Darrell Royal Most Valuable Offensive Player Award.

SOPHOMORE: Earned second-team All-Big 12 honors from the AP after collecting 1,293 yards on 305 carries with 12 TDs and catching 21 passes for 119 yards& Played most of the season with cracked ribs and a nagging turf toe, but did not sit out any games.

FRESHMAN: Named team MVP and Freshman All-American after totaling 1,053 yards and 13 TDs on 223 carries as an immediate starter& Missed action late in the year with a pinched nerve in his neck, including sitting out the Holiday Bowl.
