| Ed Reed could become the same type of impact player in the secondary, that Ray Lewis is for the entire defense. Reed has already shown at the University of Miami that he can make impact plays, and get his teammates to trust him. Reed was the inspirational leader of that Hurricanes' defense, one of the best defenses in college football history. Reed also posseses terrific instincts and is a plus hitter. While he isn't perfect in any one area, he is a very versatile player who covers a lot of ground.
All-American and Big East co-Defensive Player of the Year in 2001, when he had 44 tackles, nine passes broken up and nine interceptions, which he returned for 206 yards and two scores. All-Conference and All-America in '00, when he had 59 tackles, six tackles for loss, 23 passes broken up and a team-best eight interceptions, including two he returned for scores.
