Ravens expected to sign Jamel White Premium Story

OWINGS MILLS -- Jamal Lewis' injured right ankle is encased in a protective boot, and the Baltimore Ravens are poised to entrust their slumping running game primarily to Chester Taylor against the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots.

Beyond an anticipated major shift from the burly Lewis to the shifty Taylor, the Ravens are expected to sign veteran runner Jamel White Wednesday as a backup and a third-down back after holding discussions with James Jackson.
