Ravens sign Shaun Draughn, IR Aaron Mellette

The Ravens signed Shaun Draughn and placed receiver Aaron Mellette on injured reserve.

OWINGS MILLS, Md. — The Ravens signed running back Shaun Draughn to the 53-man roster, potentially adding a kick returner to the team.

This move comes after the Ravens realized they lost Jacoby Jones for the next four to six weeks. Draughn will compete for the returner spot with a few others, including receiver Tandon Doss and running back Bernard Pierce.

The move comes in conjunction with the Ravens moving seventh-round draft pick Aaron Mellette to injured reserve.
