Harbaugh: Dennis Pitta will miss 2013 season

Posted Jul 28, 2013

After dislocating and fracturing his hip on Saturday, coach John Harbaugh declared tight end Dennis Pitta out for the 2013 season.

Tight end Dennis Pitta will be sidelined for the entire 2013 season, head coach John Harbaugh announced on Sunday.

This announcement came just a day after Pitta dislocated and fractured his hip in training camp. Pitta collided with safety James Ihedigbo on a jump ball in the end zone and was unable to get up off the ground.

Pitta hard to be carted off the field.

With Pitta out for the year, the Ravens signed veteran tight end Visanthe Shiancoe, who participated in Sunday's practice.
